Another double appointment for the Fanini team with the special opportunity for Marco Tizza to wear the Italian national team jersey at the GP Larciano
After Le Samyn, another great opportunity in Belgium for athletes led by former Ukrainian champion Vlady Starchyk. Sunday, March 10, on the streets near Brussels the team will take part at the GP Jean – Pierre Monserè, while concurrently one of the team leaders, Marco Tizza will have the honor to wear the Italian national team jersey directed by Davide Cassani and Marino Amadori, at the GP Larciano.
The convocation of Tizza is to be considered a real flagship for A & V – Prodi. Tizza is in fact the sixth rider of the team to be selected in the national Italian team in the last three years (before him it was up to Zamparella, Bernardinetti, Celano, Gabburo, and Ficara).
Marco Tizza is going through a period of very good shape and last Tuesday at Le Samyn he proved to be up to the best, always remaining among the protagonists of the race in the focal points of the competition.
Now eyes focused on the GP Larciano, where M.T. will have the opportunity to hit a topical result with the Italian jersey along with Astana rider Davide Villella.
“I am very excited about this convocation – said Tizza – actually, it comes at a pretty favorable period to me, where my condition is clearly growing. I thank Cassani and Amadori for the trust and first of all the Fanini family for giving me the opportunity to confirm myself at high levels again this year after a very profitable 2018 season which, however, left me so much regret and bitter in my mouth for different other circumstances. I am ready to honor Italy’s jersey in this race and I will try to fight like a lion in order to give myself, but also to the Italian national team and to my team Amore & Vita – Prodir, a great satisfaction. It won’t be easy but I will try go over my limits for that”.
In Belgium, instead, a selection of the team, composed of Max Moncassin, Jan Freuler, Viesturs Luksevics, Kaspars Sergis, Andrea Meucci, Erik Gavars and Federico Vivas, will give battle in the GP Monserè, a very challenging one-day race with several sections of coble-stones.
“Le Samyn was the first major test on these types of routes – explains the D.S. Starchyk – as I expected the world tour team Deceuninck – Quick Step dictated the law throughout the day and for several of our athletes was very hard but equally useful to gain the right experience in these spectacular races. And in the days that divided the races we remained to train on these roads to study the routes and better understand the secrets. I am convinced that already on Sunday with a bit more luck (which never hurts) we will manage to raise the bar and improve our performance. The GP Monserè is a great challenge and we will also need it in view of future competitions that are soon to be expected with these types of routes, such as the Paris – Troyes (scheduled for 17.03), the Grand Prix de Denain – Porte du Hainaut (on 24.03) ), the Classic Loire Atlantique (on 30.03) and Cholet – Pays de la Loire (on 31, .03). All races 1.1 and 1.HC in France, in which we want to be protagonists like the International Week of Coppi and Bartali, which is undoubtedly one of the events most felt by our team for this start of the season “.
