Marco TIZZA wears the national team at COPPA AGOSTONI – Giro delle Brianze

The A&V – Prodir rider is selected into the italian national team for the third time in the season.

Great satisfaction at Amore & Vita – Prodir for the call-up of Marco Tizza in the Italian national team directed by Davide Cassani and Marino Amadori.
The strong cyclist from Brianza will defend the Italian colors in the Agostoni Cup – Tour of Brianze, exactly on his hometown roads, where he trains every day.
Racing at home and moreover with the “blue jersey” of the Italian team will be a double satisfaction for Tizza and also for his family, friends and fans who will be very numerous to support him on the course. Now it’s up to him to put all his strength and determination on the pedals to confirm himself once again to be able to excel at the highest level.
Together with Tizza the other riders selected and lined up will be: Aleotti, Baldi, Ciccone, Ganna, Oldani and the
European and Olympic champion Elia Viviani.

It should be noted, this is the third time that Tizza has been selected into the national team. Before this race he wore the blue jersey in Larciano and at the Tour of the Alps. Actually this opportunity couldn’t be more deserved, given that Tizza this season, in addition to having won two races (one stage at Sibiu Cycling Tour 2.1 and one stage at Volta a Portugal 2.1), was capable to achieve for 21 times a result in the Top 10 in category 1.1, 2.1 and 1.HC races, including the Italian national championship; over four other additional placing in the top 15.

At today  Marco Tizza is one of the top 5 Italian athletes with the most top placings in top15 (and victories) in competitions of category 1.1 and 2.1, totaling until today (and the season does not is still over) over 385 UCI points.

We are really excited for Marco – comments the team manager Cristian Fanini – he deserves this new opportunity that was granted by the Italian national team.
And being able to exploit it on the roads where you live and train every day, will be absolutely special. As it happens in soccer, where the field factor is sometimes decisive, I am sure that this aspect is quite relevant for our athlete. Marco in fact knows the roads by heart, knows how to ride and face the difficulties of the course and then, the most important detail, he will have many fans to support him and this will make a difference, especially in difficult moments or in decisive moments.
So we are sure that he will perform an extraordinary performance, always in compliance with the directives that will be assigned to him by the Technical Commissioner
